Confetti has officially been tossed in celebration of this new space! Cheers and hooray! // I needed just a little more time to get a few things in place and decide on a design & stick with it, and today it has finally (!!!) launched…uhhh…started.
Yes, that’s right: I prefer to celebrate the starting of this space, not necessarily the launching of it.
Just making this less-than-perfect, ‘give it all I got’ website LIVE is a major achievement because lately, it’s been hard for me to imagine putting anything out into the world that I’ve been working on. Maybe it’s because I’ve realized that I really am on my own now, and everything feels heavier because of it. Maybe it’s because I haven’t trusted my own judgement in a while, spending the last three years getting the things I worked on approved before making them public. Or maybe it’s because I’m an over-achieving perfectionist that still needs to learn to chill out a bit.
Whatever the reason, it’s been hard to start. Yet here I am, all back to it : the writing, the designing, the content-creating, and the good ol’ fashioned creative living…and here you are, sweet reader – who I hope is ready to hear about how I’ve been staying afloat and life after mambi and what few projects are next on my creative agenda! It’s all cause for some fun + confetti, methinks!
So now that you’re here, where should you start?
Well, fo’sho (1) sign up for my newsletter. That’s a given. I have a few freebies coming your way this month that I am so stoked to share (!!!) and you’ll get V.I.P. access to them + other info via the mailing list, so sign up. Subscribe. (I’m pretty excited about this.)
Next, you could (2) check out the first post I’ve published on this new space comparing ‘back to school’ with being back to blogging: “Everything seems a little foreign yet familiar, and I most definitely have to find my footing again, but I feel open & optimistic – the same way I felt at the start of every new school year.”
I know so much has changed since I last blogged regularly – but even with the rising popularity of perfectly curated Instagram feeds + live video + things going viral + our ever-growing, immediate-gratification, mass communication culture – I still appreciate, gravitate, and believe in blogging as a platform.
In the next few weeks, you can expect…
(1) This Is Us printables! It’s the best show on television, and later this month Season 2 will be starting, and you bet your bottom dollar the modern memory keeper in me will be documenting all about it. Hopefully, with my printables, you will be too, and we can share what we create and our thoughts on each episode each week! Gah! Excited!
(2) #100DaysofREFRESHMENT making a comeback! // Do you know the last 100 days of the year start on September 23rd? Well, I’m thinking of revisiting my #100DaysofREFRESHMENT (that I tried back in April, but neglected to follow through with), and this time around I imagine creating a checklist of 100 ways to get refreshed – a free download I can share with all of you – and do this thing together. Thoughts?
(3) Access to my hourly, lined planner strips that so many of you have been asking about for the past year. Don’t know what I’m talking about? Check out the hashtag: #ARZ_PlannerStrips for an idea.
(4) a YouTube comeback & video series about how I’ve been using a digital approach to my memory keeping this year. I’m even considering developing a new online class on it, kind of like a 2.0 to my “Memory Keeping in The Happy Planner®” class. We’ll see!
…and finally, you can expect (5) a bit of backstory about what I’ve been up to since leaving my job with me & my BIG ideas, (6) how I’ve been staying afloat, and (7) the slow, steady, timely reveal of a new secret product I’ll be launching in the winter. Stay tuned!
These are the most immediate plans. I’m curious to see if all the ways I imagine utilizing this new site and my newsletter will come to fruition in the upcoming months. I’m going to show up everyday and do the work and I plan to make these plans come true — but I’m the type of creative that does her best work when I’m organically inspired to do it. What I’ve listed above is what I’ve had in me thus far to create, so that’s what I’m passionately pursing, but who knows what life will throw at us, you know?
Also let’s mention: I’m solo. No team. // I’m learning as I go, and I imagine there will be a bunch of setbacks along the way. But here’s something I’ve come to know:
The best thing about a major setback is
it sets you up for a major comeback.
So, mistakes? Inevitable. Inconsistencies? Probably. …but can you expect to find authenticity and an adventurous creative spirit all the while? You bet your ass. I’m pretty confident I’ll land on my feet – no matter what the setback – and you know what?… I’m really comfortable in the underdog chair. 😉
I can’t thank you enough for visiting today. Thank you for your support and any and all good vibes. I’m really happy to be here, just…starting. Xoxo.
