my time @ CHA 2016

I wrote asking you to come see me at CHA, but in case you didn’t get to The Anaheim Convention Center from wherever you were,  here is the post about my time at CHA 2016 that I wanted to get down before February begins and it becomes just “something I did a few weeks ago”.

I spent most of my time at the me & my BIG ideas booth (which you can see more of here), but more specifically behind The Happy Planner™ Bar. I took tons of photos, revealed new products via Instagram & Periscope, and showcased the system to visitors and potential buyers. I was the hype girl, and hype I did.

We had blisty.com, scrapbook.com, and Scrapbook Expo film me talking about the newest products in The Happy Planner™ line, and knowing what to expect from last year, I felt ready. More than ready. Speaking about product and talking craft & hobby is something I hope is a part of my career for years and years to come.

Like I mentioned last year, two things about my time at CHA were my favorite. The first thing was being with and meeting so many creative ladies who share my passion for this industry. I was much more at ease with my role in the booth compared to last year, which made me more receptive to new people. I loved hanging out with the girls on the design team, I loved meeting people in person that I know and love on Instagram. All and all, good connections were made, and you can’t really ask for more than that.

The second thing about CHA that was my favorite was the profound sense of being where I belonged. This time around, it was even more palpable. I belong here…amongst other creatives who enjoy paper and images as much as me, and have an intense desire to express themselves through craft, and who understand how a ‘making’ hobby can make a happy life. Yep.

In short – my second CHA was also OMG, and I am so grateful for every. single. second. Cheers, crafters!
