I’m memory keeping 2016 in one of my three working Happy Planners™. EIGHT FULL MONTHS are now done and this is the post talking and flipping through the pages I have completed for August going into September.
PURPLE was the color theme that came with August in the ‘My Life’ Happy Planner™ from the first generation, so each week I scouted for purple stickers and pocket cards. It’s not my go-to color, but it was fun to have to go & get it. 😉
For my monthly, I add in photos and stickers a bit at a time, and I love when I finally see the whole look of the pages come together. Chunking events with washi tape that span over the course of a few days is still a thing I do. Those dainty white alphas were from Studio Calico and fit perfectly over some photos from the month, spelling out ‘BINGO’ ‘MIAMI’ ‘LAKE’ ‘POOL’ and ‘DANCE’. So cute!
You can watch a flip-through of my August, here me talk about these pages, and get a sneak of what September’s looking like below:
My weekly spreads are a bit more cluttered, as I try to get a lot of the story told in photos and jottings. I’m trying to keep it simple, add a little more white space, and coordinate embellishments to photos.
I’m also going to be teaching a class on Big Picture called memory keeping in The Happy Planner™ that will include tips & techniques for how to do everything that you see here!
It’ll go live on their website in December! 🙂
